DESTINATION :
Norway. We travelled the week between Christmas and New Years Day. We flew into Oslo, then drove to Bergen, Aselund and then back to Oslo.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GO TO NORWAY?
A friend trekked around Norway over summer and shared these incredible photos of mountains and fjords. I was really inspired.

HOW DID YOU PLAN YOUR TRIP?
I’ve been using Pinterest quite a bit for planning trips. I type the place name into search and see what turns up. I also bought two travel books; The Lonely Planet and the Rough Guide to Norway.

WHAT ITEMS SHOULD YOU BRING TO NORWAY?
I packed three kinds of shoes to wear and wore my snow boots the whole time. They don’t seem to use salt on the sidewalks, so definitely wear boots that will stop you slipping on ice. Everyone in Norway wears these snap reflective strips on their wrists and ankles, over coats and pants. It’s so dark, the reflectors are really rather helpful for walking in the streets.
