September heralds fall’s cultural season- a new year of creative endeavors. Noteworthy art (films, books, albums, exhibits) makes its debut, coinciding with a global caravan of fashion runway shows.  After a mellow summer spent outdoors, autumnal balance is found by becoming a bit more insular, embracing the cerebral. Nomad Chic’s seasonal Runway Blues style slideshow reflects the spirit of the color blue. Designers showcase variations on cerulean- and we are inspired.

On the first cool day, layer a Marc Jacobs coat over a favorite slip to wander a museum. Don a cyan Chloe sheath dress to a show, tracing routes mapped via stiches.  Cloak yourself in Jil Sander for a morning stroll along foreign cities streets.  Slip into the blue velvet of Ferretti, for a night of sapphire star gazing. Curl up for a private screening of the Kieślowski trilogy in an oversized cardigan sweater.  Sipping on a (virgin) blueberry smash, our lips stained, we are in awe of the moody performances and haunting narratives. Inspired by the harvest moon, visit a local farmer’s market, gathering ingredients for a farm-to-table meal.  Find yourself in a dreamy space- the peacefulness of a room of one’s own- culture as company.
From cobalt water and royal navy robes to saturated midnight shadows and a gorgeously gothic starling wing, escape with Nomad’s Fall 2013 runaway blues.
