The nazar is an eye-shaped amulet believed to ward off negativity. Turkish in origin, it is typically made of glass- with circles of teardrop shades in dark blue, white, light blue, and black. Hang a nazar ornament from a tree outside ones home to protect against the evil eye. Attach the talisman to a key ring. Embroider a throw pillow with a nazar pattern.
