What do you miss most about home when traveling? Often my bed. My big red Le Creuset to cook in. My heavy beaded necklaces which I can’t take traveling with me… my friends. What do you miss most about traveling when home? The extra sense of time that exists when I’m not on a NY schedule. What has been the most awe-inspiring moment you’ve experienced while traveling? Being seated on a small seaside hilltop, able to gaze at the sun rising over the Caribbean Sea for a proper, relaxed half an hour – while sitting with an iguana who happened to join me. What’s the best souvenir you’ve ever picked up on a trip? Sweet and sexy slipper socks I picked up in Portugal many years ago, which have served as inspiration for the ones being knitted in Peru for Nomadic- I wore the original pair into the ground!
