What is the first trip you ever took on your own? I dropped out of college for a semester to travel throughout Southeast Asia and Nepal. While I was there, I learned how to Kayak on a river trip in Nepal and trekked to the base of Mt Everest. Later on, I traveled to Ecuador by myself and lived with a family of weavers in Otavalo. We all slept on their dirt floor! I also lived with a tribe in Orissa, India, with the non-profit Tribal Cry in 2003. What has been the most awe-inspiring moment you’ve experienced while traveling? Hiking off-piste in the Swiss Alps and skiing down into Italy was incredible. November 2012 |
