What moment from a trip still makes you laugh?
There are so many moments- but there is one that I will never forget. I cried at the time but now it makes me laugh.

My husband and I went to Machu Picchu, where he was shooting for a travel magazine. Because I had always wanted to go there he took me as his photo assistant. I was never a photo assistant before; I always worked on the other side of the camera in a very ‘glamorous’ way. King size beds and 5 stars hotels. A model’s life, right? We were in the best hotels in Peru, all provided by the Orient Express team.

At Sanctuary Lodge, a very fancy hotel and the only one in the Machu Picchu area, they put us in a room with separate single beds. Of course I started to complain to my husband about having to put the little beds together, and he would tell me to stop complaining- that I was there to assist him and not fuss about the size of a bed. We had so many rolls of film to take care and that was the only thing I should have to worry about.

To make a long story short- somehow I lost a zip lock bag full of film in that same room, film that was already ready shot from the locations we had been to.  He got so upset at me. I got fired! I couldn't believe that I had made that mistake. And I couldn't believe I got 'fired' by my own husband. We told the hotel concierge that we had lost that bag of film. They found it underneath that damn single bed. The one I wanted to change!
