TRAVEL: SALVADOR DE BAHIA BRAZIL: TRIP TIPS by Christine Sanders
TRAVEL: SALVADOR DE BAHIA BRAZIL: NOMAD DESTINATION GUIDE : Brazilian Cuisine & Caipirinha by Christine Sanders
The highlight of my trip to Salvador de Bahia…
was visiting the Museu Afro-Brasileiro in Pelourinho. Brazil was one of the last countries to abolish slavery and one can learn about its history and the importance of the Candomblé religion at this museum.

I will always remember…
going for a morning run through the streets as I observed the city come to life. I watched children play soccer on the beach and marveled at the grace of capoeira dancers.

As a woman traveler …
If you’re staying at a pousada, tell your host or hostess your plans for the day and where you’ll be for safety. Always be aware of one’s surroundings and follow your intuition. Leave a situation or place if something feels off.
