A one-hour ride through the island interior to get to the Shark Harbor beach-stunning views! KAYAK TRANSPORT from Avalon to Shark Harbor Ask for Chip, the company owner. He’s awesome and full of island history- it's a great way to learn the best of Catalina from a true local. Upon arrival on Shark Harbor, Chip rents private kayaks. I always go to EL GALLEON for dinner and karaoke. The restaurant is Pirates of the Caribbean-in California. It's a riot! The AIRPORT restaurant is great for take away sandwiches to eat on the beach.
