What is your favorite destination and why? Paris, because it never ceases to inspire me – and also because of the delicious pastries. I stay at our family place on George V – walk down to Ladurée on the Champs and stock up on croissant aux noix, St honoré à la rose and baba au rhum. When I visit the Jeu de Paume, which always has outstanding photo exhibitions, I follow with a mont blanc at Angelina. I bring my reading and sit there for most of the afternoon, taking notes. Everything there seems untouched by time. I love the silverware and old school super formal service. October 2012 |
