What would be your ultimate NOMAD CHIC weekend getaway?
Is Nomad Chic sponsoring this getaway? If so I would stay at Hotel Scalinatella in Capri. I spent every summer growing up in Capri, and have always wanted to stay in there—the chicest of hotels on the island. I would fly to Naples from London on a Friday afternoon in June, then take a hydrofoil to Capri. I’d check in, and have a swim and a drink on the divine terrace. I’d eat at Villa Brunella down the road. The next day, I would walk PizzoLungo  and maybe have a swim at daLuigi depending on the temperature. I would walk over to Fontelina to eat lunch. In the afternoon, I’d visit Blu, a nomad-chic shop if there ever was one. And I’d stop in to say hello to the sisters Farella, makers of extremely elegant hand loomed cashmere knits. In the evening, I would eat at Faraglioni, my friend GianGiuliano’s restaurant. On Sunday, I’d head up to visit my friend Gigi in AnaCapri. His Bed+Breakfast , Casa Bove, is the loveliest and most chilled-out of spots on the way to Grotta Azzurra... I would maybe have a sneaky swim in the grotto when the tourist boats finish at 4pm. By the way, in a non-five-star reality, Casa Bove is a gorgeous place to stay, too. I would stay Sunday night, as well, and eat at Aurora on via delle Botteghe back on Capri proper. I’d end my night with a drink in the Piazza afterwards and a leisurely stroll back to Scalinatella down via Camerelle and then via Tragara. On Monday morning, I’d take an early boat, then a plane back to London, after breakfast with a delicious cornetto and cappuccino at Bar Alberto.
