How do you plan your trip?
I do ask friends for their tips. Sometimes, I post to Facebook to ask for guidance. I often consult i-escape for ideas and recommendations on accommodations. I check Kayak and Lastminute for flights. Green Traveller has some off the best off-the-beaten path inexpensive, rustic finds- search carefully as amenities are slim. But if you like a yurt stay on occasion, then this could be helpful. Phaidon Press + Wallpaper teamed up to create tiny pocket city guides which are great.

When it comes to travel, what’s your best piece of advice?
Try to connect beforehand with anyone local whom you may know, or be open to befriending locals wherever you arrive. It’s always better with local intel.
