If you had a month of free time and unlimited funds, where would you travel?
I would visit the Philippine provenance of Palawan, the Bacuit Bay archipelago that consists of 45 islands. The Lagen Island Resort in Bacuit Bay is on one of the remote islands in the archipelago. I would stay there and enjoy all the pristine, untouched nature and solitude. I would rent a small boat and captain to be able to visit many of these untouched and uninhabited islands. I would also stop and stay on the island of Pangulasian, and stay at the El Nido resort. After all the stimulation of New York City and traveling to interesting places, I want to visit a place in the world that is still untouched and where nature is thriving without too much interference from man. I also would love to visit the W Hotel in the Maldives. They have my Fauna pillow in the hotel. Would be fun to go there and stay in a room with my lovely pillows.

What would be your ultimate NOMAD CHIC weekend getaway?
Going upstate to my house in Milanville. It is only a couple hours away, and once you’re there, you’ll be cut off from the Internet and without cell reception. It is all about shopping at organic farms, visiting local cheese farms and the many quaint towns. We love to take a swim in the Delaware River, which is a ten-minute walk from the house. The nights are about cooking. I have a wonderful boyfriend who loves to cook while I get to sit and sketch all the beautiful flowers from the garden or the vegetables we bought. At night, it is silent with only the sounds of crickets. It is the perfect break from NYC. After a couple of days, I return to NY refreshed and inspired.
