If you could create a fictional destination combining elements from real places around the world, what would it include?
I would create a place that combined Italy and places in India. Right now I have a hard time deciding which of these two places I should take my family for our next trip. I want to go to each of those places. I love the antiquity and art of both these countries, the cuisine of each. Very intricate recipes to the simple ones-a good plate of pasta and a thali of rice and dahl. But most of all it is the warmth, lovingness and sense of humor of the people that just keeps you amused and feeling part of their world as you travel and discover.

What book would you travel through if you could?
Maharaja: The Lives, Loves and Intrigues of the Maharajas of India -to live the decadent lifestyle of the Indian royal families. Sigh.
