LOVE TRIANGLE

From party banners to pyramids, triangles abound. The shape is a basic one we learn to recognize in elementary school (Can you tell me which one is the circle? The square? The triangle?), but what it represents is far from simple. For some it’s a religious symbol, for others a sign of fertility, and for others basic geometry. It’s a majestic pyramid or the crudest of tents, a flag of a distant country, a pennant of a hometown ball team. A colorful string of them indicates a carnival and a single red one warns sailors of strong winds ahead. The three triangles of a string bikini evoke the sound of breaking waves and sand made hot by the sanguine sun.
