What do you miss most about traveling in East Africa when home?
What I miss most when away from Africa is the people. And the smells. I miss the smell of wood smoke from a small cooking fire, morning air after the rains, onions frying on a sufria…all sorts of things that are part of daily life in Kenya.

What do you miss most about home when traveling?
When away from the United States what I miss most are family and friends. The material things I'm happy to leave behind.

What is your favorite travel indulgence in Kenya?
Hmm… there is no indulgence where I travel. The closest thing to indulgence in the desert might be an ice cold Coke. I've had those on occasion.
