What items should you never leave home without when traveling to MOROCCO? I’m faithful to my favorite skincare line, In Fiore, and I make sure I’m stocked on all my travels. One of my favorite jewelry pieces is a hand painted evil eye necklace by the Greek designer, Lito, and I believe it serves as a protector and a good luck charm, so I always travel with it. A couple Darija, Moroccan Arabic words and phrases are fun to learn and extremely helpful. My favorites being: Saba ah-fulee wil yasmine - Good Morning with Flowers and Jasmine (So evocative and romantic, no?) Waha –Ok, good Shukran – Thank you Mush mushkillah – Don’t worry! August 2013 |
