  FAVORITE MEMORY?
In a myriad of ways, I felt so in my element in Morocco. The colors, tactility of the textiles and souks, the aromas and tastes of the cuisine and the openness and hospitality of the people spoke to me deeply and poetically. The entire two weeks has become an endless wonderful memory that I have constantly replaying in my head and heart, with only hopes to repeat it again and again.

I recall sitting on a leather pouf in the back of tiny shop in the rug souk in Marrakech, just taking in the buzzing scene of the culture of bargaining and buying. The vendor took such pride in his inventory and was more than content to bring down rugs, no matter their size, their locations in the towering piles or the entire souk for that matter. I loved endlessly discussing the colors and patterns of the pieces, dragging them out to get a good look in the sunlight. Just imagining the woman that had made them filled me with bursting creative inspiration for my own life, work and future endeavors.

I am still remembering many in between moments that offered secret glimpses of people going about their everyday lives, in the market or on the road in between cities.
