This spring, though, we’re reinterpreting this long clichéd idiom, actively seeking out hiking destinations to keep our minds, bodies and spirits on the move. We’ll go to Big Sur or spend an afternoon in Runyon Canyon for an urban respite. We’ll take a walking meditation in Upstate New York . We’ll use a stick of maple wood for balance on a steep trail. We’ll channel Lou Reed and Cheryl Strayed as we take a trek on the wild side. We’ll take a sole pilgrimage to be stunned by a brilliant, seaside sunset.
