TRAVEL GOLDEN DESTINATIONS: Wat Phra That Doi Suthep : Chiang Mai , Thailand
There is a time of day known as the Golden Hour. While not precise in its occurrence, it happens most often in the first hour of daylight or in the last when the sun, about to kiss the horizon, takes on a reddish glow. During this window, the light is its softest and warmest, and shadows are long.  Photographers call this time the ‘magical hour,’ as skin turns an amber hue and flaws seemingly fade.  The sun lends its radiance to everything around it- even the roughest of places might be mistaken for paradise when bathed in this honey light.  It lingers just a while, and then grows into the morning or burns out, like a candle, into twilight.

The color we know as ‘amber’ actually refers to a fossilized tree resin, appreciated for its color and natural beauty since Neolithic times. Because amber originates as a soft, sticky tree resin, it can contain animal and plant material- pine needles, leaves, or insects captured in its hardened form. And, just like the amber blush of the Golden Hour, enjoy the following gilded destinations- caught in the glowing, suspended ether of magical travel.
